Monday marked the last day of my first wave of tests. For the whole week leading up to my biology exam, I met up with Linh, Megan, and Alvan every night until around 2 studying for spanish, stats and bio. Studying for statistics wasn't too bad but I had put off studying for Biology until the week before the test >.< I felt that I studied enough to know the material just good enough but by the end of Monday, my brain was completely fried.

My thoughts exactly Oprah...My thoughts exactly.

I ended up doing okay on all three tests, all low A's, but I know I can do better next time. I need to get alottt better with my studying habits and I dont think that tumblring is going to help very much lol.
Spanish has been kicking my ass lately, the professor is really cool but has these insane expectations of us and I'm just kinda of flailing right now. The written and spoken assignments are graded so harshly and I've never felt so bad at Spanish before. I really hope this situation gets better because it's started to make me waver with this subject that I used to love so much lol.
In Tuesdays biology lab, we performed experiments on fertilized eggs to look the at anatomy of chick embryos and see the effects of coffee and alcohol on its heart rate. Usually the labs in this class are really cool but this one just sucked. The constant smell of the fertilized egg was nauseating and it was so depressing getting these live embryos out of their shell and spraying all these types of solution on them. Hopefully next weeks experiment is better and I think i'm going to lay off the eggs for a while.

This little guy was getting TIPSY!
The rest of my classes are going pretty well right now. Biology is biology, my environment class is still full of hippies, and I still love my crazy stats class. My stats professor is this little indian lady whose English is suprisingly good with the exception of an accent and a few odd wordings, in this case "head or tail" rather than "heads or tails". This usually is not a big problem but the other day she had the misfortune of saying "If I flip a coin, vat is de probability I will get head?"

I need a sound bit of this! Lol
Immediately after she said that, everyone started turning around, chuckling, and having a huge grin on their face from her unfortunate wording. Not only did she say this once but MULTIPLE times throughout the lecture! So the class, like normal citizens, got a good laugh at first but then got over it after a few minutes. MY dumb ass laughs to the verge of tears every time the class gets quiet for almost the first half hour of the class hahaha! I dont know why I always laugh in the most inappropriate situations but I hope I don't get in trouble for it anytime soon! xD
Ash Wednesday snuck up on me this year and thank god my mom called me to remind me to fast, go to church, and give up/start doing something. This year I gave up all fried foods (with the exception of fish) and trying to be nicer and do more volunteering, since I haven't done any since the start of the semester. My new rule is that if I break a rule unintentionally, I add 1 day past Easter and if I break it intentionally, I add 3 days past Easter, and I did this for reasons which I'll mention soon in the next post! xD
