2: Chick Ringer

Since I was getting frustrated with formatting my Blogspot I decided it was time to convert to Tumblr! Now, i’ll definitely have more than 3 viewers since everyone and their grandmother uses Tumblr! Even though the majority of tumblrers make short, concise picture blogs I’m going to stick with my style of long ass rants dotted with the occasional pictures and gifs. So lets get this party started!

On Sunday, a few friends and I went out to have a belated birthday lunch. We tried to do a quick lunch since we all had tests to study for but a lot of random mishaps turned this trip into a 4 hour excursion! We wanted to try this fancy burger joint called Hopdoddy on South Congress so we took the wonderful austin city bus headed down south. Unbeknownst to us, there was a marathon going on downtown so the bus dropped us off early and headed back to campus. Since it was a nice day outside, we decided to take a scenic walk the rest of the route.
Downtown look much less menacing and rapey in the daylight

He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector… a Dark Knight…

Ms. P’s Chicken and Waffles! Will definitely be back!
When we arrived at Hopdoddy, we saw a hoard of people wrapped around the tiny building. The hostess said the wait was going to be about 45 minutes and since we didn’t have that time to spare, we decided to take a rain check and find another local eatery
My reaction
My reaction!
We found a little cluster of food trucks and local vendors nearby and decided to have lunch from a food truck cleverly named “Hey, You Gonna Eat Or What?”, where I ate deliciously greasy Monte Cristo

“Solidifying our reputation as Austins rudest business!”

Sandwich Galore!

Hi Megan!

Taking pictures of strangers’ dogs without their knowledge…nbd

Nomnomnomnomnom!
Along with the vendors and food trucks was an animal shelter showcasing a few dogs nearby. Thank god the dogs there were normal and healthy since I actually have a huge soft spot in my heart for animals with disabilities. Hahaha!

“BUY ME! LOVE ME!”
After a great lunch we decided what the hell, lets be even more gluttons and get some Amy’s Ice Cream. For all you Dallasites out there, its definitely no Braums but its pretty good!

Preach it brotha!

Someones REALLY enjoying that ice cream lol
After being filled to the brim, we decided to head back to campus where another bus mishap took up wayyy past campus to 32nd street (our dorm is on 21st street)! We had to walk to our destination AGAIN but I guess it was good to walk off some of the food we ate :) That concluded the fun for the day, since the rest of the night was spent studying for our biology test the following day.

  1. Lol, who blogs on Tumblr?? Man, this means I'm gonna have to add that to my reading list. Anyways, it looks like you had fun celebrating your birthday with your friends. :) Love the pics!
